I thought I would write a vibration plate reviews because my own vibration plate has provided me with a superb weight control alternative, while being kind to my over-worked and painful joints.

I have always been conscious about my weight, and over the years have tried all sorts of ways to keep it down, from weight training to aerobics, even yoga. I eventually discovered that the only way I could have full control of my weight and eat a normal diet, was to run. Up until recently I ran five miles two or three times a week. As far as I was concerned it kept me healthy and invigorated. But then the bombshell.  I had been experiencing joint pain in my hips and knees for a while, and I just put it down to sleeping in a strange position or muscle related, I just tried to ignore it. But when I went to see my doctor, she told me I had arthritis and that I should cut my running down if I didn’t want to be in pain all through my old age. I’m only 45! But the pain was getting quite severe, so I had to take notice.

So I was then stuck wondering how I was going to keep my weight down if I couldn’t run. And that’s when I discovered vibration plates or power plates as some people call them.

I just happened to be looking at the various possibilities online and vibration plate reviews kept cropping up, and there were some great reviews, so I decided to give it a try. And I am so happy I did.

I have been using a vibration plate for two months now,  and I have noticed such a difference on so many levels. My joint pain is all but gone. I occasionally get a twinge in my knees, but nothing like before when I was running. It has brought home to me the heavy impact I was placing on my joints when I ran, and the damage this was doing to me.

Since using my vibration plate I have also noticed a massive change in my body shape. My clothes just hang off me now. I don’t appear to have lost much weight, it seems to be just my shape that has changed. My tummy is noticeably less ‘flabby’ and the top of my legs have become much curvier, with less of the wobble I had before.

The vibration pulses from the vibration plate are obviously working better than my running!

The vibration plate I use (medicarn series 200) is a fantastic piece of equipment, it is easy to assemble, and fits tidily in my spare room – the wheels are a great help to move it around.

It is quiet while in use and very easy to use. It has 8 programs, and I’ve not tried them all yet as I’m working my way through them slowly. I thought the free exercise DVD was very helpful too.

All in all I would recommend a vibration plate to anyone thinking about buying one, whether it’s to tone up, lose weight, or to find an alternative form of exercise due to health restrictions. I love it and I'm sure you will also!
